Listed in this resource section are websites, blogs, and books that can help you understand Lyme disease and related co-infections, as well as treatment options, therapies, and nutritional support. I've also included some things I've personally found to be relevant, beneficial, interesting, and inspiring in this ongoing healing process. I'll moderate and update this list on a regular basis.

Websites and Blogs

International Lyme And Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) - A non-profit medical society dedicated to diagnosing and treating Lyme Disease and other related diseases. ILADS promotes understanding of Lyme and other tick-borne diseases through research and education and strongly supports physicians and other health care professionals dedicated to advancing the standard of care for patients.

Global Lyme Alliance - A non-profit dedicated to conquering Lyme and other tick-borne diseases through funding innovative research. They offer education and awareness programs and support for patients and caregivers while advancing reliable diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and, eventually, a cure. GLA hosts an annual fundraising and awareness gala dedicated to its mission of finding a cure and supporting the needs of Lyme patients. 

 

LymeDisease.org - A non-profit corporation that is a prominent voice for Lyme patients across the nation through advocacy, education, and research. Find the latest news and research here. Also, home to the blog, Touched By Lyme, which explores the personal side of Lyme disease and how it affects individuals and families, and helpful information.

Lyme Warrior - A non-profit organization, founded and operated by Lauren Lovejoy, a Lyme disease patient and advocate, which helps and supports Lyme patients through various outreaches, grants, and research. "Lyme Warrior is a team of sick people fighting for better treatment, testing, and understanding of Lyme disease." 

The Lyme Action Network - A non-profit organization that provides general information and resources to the public and medical practitioners seeking more information about Lyme and other Tick Borne-Diseases. The Lyme Action Network covers a variety of initiatives, from public education campaigns and patient support programs to professional education endeavors and public and private advocacy.

LymeLight Foundation - While most existing foundations focus on research and awareness, LymeLight Foundation is uniquely dedicated to funding medical treatment for children and young adults with Lyme disease. They award grants to eligible individuals ranging from 3-25 years of age.

Lyme Disease Educational Resources (BioMed Publishing Group) - Website of Bryan Rosner aimed to provide accurate and valuable alternative health information about Lyme and other related diseases. A myriad of articles, videos, books, and DVDs are available.

Lyme Info Network - This site provides details about Lyme Disease symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. You will find articles as well as an extensive directory of information about Lyme and other tick-borne infections. Advocacy information and peer-reviewed medical literature are also available.

Biologix Center for Optimal Health - Website of Biologix Center and Founder, Dr. David Jernigan, DC, who practices Biological Medicine. Excellent information on Lyme and other chronic diseases, health issues, etc., as well as cutting-edge technology and therapies. Dr. Jernigan has a brilliant knowledge and understanding of the body's energy matrix and how it affects overall health. He believes in working with God's natural design of the body to achieve optimum health and wellness.

Seeking Health - Website of Dr. Ben Lynch, ND and his product line Seeking Health. Dr. Lynch is best known for his expertise in methylation pathway defects and MTHFR mutations. Great audios and videos by Dr. Lynch explaining the function of methylation pathways, panels, mutations, treatments, etc. He also has a lot of great info on other specific health concerns and how certain supplements benefit each condition. Seeking Health offers pure, high-quality supplements at a reasonable price. Great overall health tips and information here. Another one of my favorites.

F.Y.I. - If you have an MTHFR gene mutation, you must check out Dr. Lynch's MTHFR website. It's loaded full of relevant videos, podcasts, forums, articles, research, and protocols. Excellent information.

Klinghardt Academy - Website of Dr. Dietrick Klinghardt, MD, PhD. Excellent information on healing Lyme, Autism, and other chronic diseases. He's the creator of Autonomic Response Testing (A.R.T.), a comprehensive diagnostic system using enhanced biofeedback and kinesiology.

RawlsMD - Website of Dr. Bill Rawls, MD, who battled chronic Lyme disease himself. Filled with prolific information, including insightful articles, videos, webinars, and an extensive herb database. Dr. Rawls shares his Lyme treatment guide and offers consults and health coaching. 

Mercola.com - The comprehensive natural health website of Dr. Joseph Mercola, D.O. Loaded with tons of informative health and nutrition-related articles and videos. You can also sign up for his daily health e-newsletter.

Know The Cause  - Website of researcher, author and lecturer, Doug Kaufmann, who hosts the daily television show Know The Cause and is best known for The Fungus Link Series. An excellent resource for natural health information and products such as nutritional supplements, air filtration systems, and books (paperback and audio) regarding the link to fungus and illness.

Kris Newby - Website of Kris Newby, author of Bitten: The Secret History of Lyme Disease and Biological Weapons, which I highly recommend. She is a science and technology writer and the senior producer of the Lyme disease documentary, Under Our Skin. Kris, and her husband, also have Lyme disease, and she shares some of their story in her book. 

Better Health Guy - Website and blog of Scott Forsgren, aka Better Health Guy, dedicated to his personal journey with Lyme disease and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Filled with a lot of in-depth articles and insights on the latest news, research, testing, treatment protocols, therapies, etc. He graciously shares conference and presentation notes he gathers from many of the top doctors, researchers, and therapists leading the way in treating chronic Lyme and other complex chronic health conditions. He also shares a great deal about his own treatment and therapy choices. Scott also hosts a health podcast with a variety of guests. Excellent information.

Lyme Disease Resource - Jenna Smith's website on Lyme disease with resources on diagnosis, treatments, and therapeutic products. She shares the story of her personal battle with chronic Lyme disease, and all that she has/is subsequently learning. Informative.
